It’s no secret that 2020 was a crazy year, especially in the backyard chicken world. More than twice as many people in the US were interested in chickens than in previous years, which affected everything from chicks to coops. Our usually very dependable turnaround times have been in flux since last March, so here is an update on all product categories.
8-12 weeks for North Texas area custom coops
Contact us for local coop options in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. We may even be able to build on-site depending on your location, the size and style of the coop you’d like. Right now we are booking up quickly.
6-8 months for most IHS pre-built coops
Our best-selling Amish-built walk in chicken coops are still at a 20 week turnaround time. We don’t expect that to change, in fact it may actually get longer as weather starts to warm up for spring 2021.
10-12 weeks for Tuckers pre-built coops
Tuckers brand coops are also built-to-order, and match the style and quality of our Amish coops. They tend to be more expensive, but our turnaround time is much better on Tuckers coops.
8 weeks for all coop kits
Coop kits are a great way to get a coop in a reasonable amount of time, especially if your flock is a dozen or less. We have several very different coop kit styles, all delivered in 8 weeks or less and much less expensive to ship.
Stay updated on coop turnaround times
We are working on new product designs that will deliver in 4-6 weeks from order date. Signing up for our email newsletter is the best way to stay on top of any changes in turnaround times or new coop releases.
